Free Early Education


The Free Early Education (previously EYFE) is for children the term after their third birthday and allows them to come to our preschool for 15 hours a week for free. To register for this, all you have to do is to fill out a registration form with us then we will ask you to complete a separate funding form and show us your child's birth certificate or passport as proof of their age.
 
Below are some of the key facts about the 15 hours Free Early Education;
  • You can claim 15 hours a week for 38 weeks a year running during school term times
  • 15 hours can be used over a minimum of 3 days
  • It can be used for a maximum of 10 hours a day and a minimum of 2 1/2  hours a day
  • We can restrict the hours in which the Free Early Education is taken (please ask for details of this)- Funded hours can be taken between 0900-1500 here at the Red Oak only.
  • You may be charged for the cost incurred for meals or asked to provide a healthy packed lunch
Free Early Education is funded during school terms enabling you to claim a maximum of 38 weeks a year. If you would like your child to come to nursery during a school holiday this can be arranged as we offer integrated care and education for some of the holidays (please ask for details). You will be invoiced directly for these times, payment will need to be received in advance of your sessions.

 Free Childcare Parent Portal

From January 2016, parents and carers will be able to create an account in the parent portal where they will be able to:

·        apply online for Free Early Education for Two year olds (FEET).

·        register their 2, 3 or 4 year old child

To register your 2, 3 or 4 year old child, parents and carers will need to go into the Free Childcare Parent Portal and add their details and their child's details before selecting the provider who has offered them a childcare place.
