FAQs

Below are some of the common questions we are asked. If you have a different question for us, get in touch.

Where can I leave my buggy?

We ask that buggies are left in the covered buggy store at the front of the Centre, unless your child is sleeping when you arrive. It's not safe or practical to have your buggies inside - sorry!

I don't live in Merstham, can I still some to the Centre?

Yes! There isn't any requirement to live in our area to access the Centre. The only criteria for using any Children's Centre is that you have a child under 5. However we give priority bookings and attendance to families living inside the area we serve (Merstham, Bletchingley and Nutfield).

Do we need to book?

Most of our services are drop-in, so there isn't any need to book a place. Our programme does show which services you do need to book for, but they are generally services which run over a few weeks or course that require a limit on numbers.

Can I breastfeed at the Centre?

Yes! We are a 'breastfeeding friendly' centre, and can often provide you with quiet or private space if you would like it.

Is there anything we can do to help?

To make your Centre successful, we simply need families to join us and take part! If you know people that might not have received a copy of our timetable, please take them one. If you could take more and hand them out, then that's even better!

If you want to get more involved, then why not consider asking us about becoming a volunteer?

Where can I park?

Sadly, there isn't any parking on site at the Centre, but there is lots of street parking close by. If you are visiting us by car, please park considerately and not over the drives of our neighbours.

When are you open?

We are open Monday to Friday from 8am until 6pm. The Centre provides activities and services all year round, including school holidays. We are closed on Bank Holidays, and close for week between Christmas and New Year.
